City of Conroe seeks a Meter Technician to perform clerical and field installation work, communicating with customers for all residential and commercial service in a courteous manner. The role includes completing supervisor-assigned projects and abiding by safety guidelines.
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, a valid Texas Class C driver's license with a clean DOT record, the ability to work outdoors in various conditions, and the goal to obtain a Class D water license
The Meter Technician performs clerical and field installation work. The employee must communicate with customers relating to all residential and commercial service in a polite manner and complete other projects assigned by the supervisor.
The work is heavy to medium and requires the ability to exert up to 70 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required: climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity and talking.
