Job summary

City of Henderson seeks a Utilities Assistant - Meter Services (Limited Term) to support meter reading, AMR/AMI systems, customer inquiries, and conservation programs within the Department of Utility Services.

Selected candidates will be full-time but in limited-term roles through June 2028, with eligibility lists for future vacancies. Outdoor work, 4-day, 38-hour schedule, and potential adjustments may apply as per city policy.

Qualifications

• Experience reading water/meters or related utilities preferred.
• Familiarity with AMR/AMI technology and readings.
• Ability to respond to customer inquiries and explain basic concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform meter reading and data collection in the field.
• Assist with AMR/AMI system maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Provide customer service and conservation information related to water use.
