Job summary

Gray Media's WGEM-TV in Quincy, IL, is seeking a Meteorologist to join our team. You will prepare and present forecasts for TV and web, and creatively use weather graphics to inform viewers.

Responsibilities include maintaining newsroom standards, substituting on other segments, guiding tour groups, attending daily editorial meetings, and coordinating forecasts for radio partners. On-call during severe weather and LIVE storytelling with a photojournalist are possible.

Qualifications

• Degree in meteorology or similar certification.
• Ability to effectively communicate through written and spoken forms.
• Able to take initiative and work independently.
• Driver's license required.
