Job summary

WLIO-TV/Gray Media in Lima, Ohio seeks a multi-skilled MMJ reporter with weather focus to cover local news and deliver daily weather casts. You will shoot, write, and edit stories as a one-person team, posting to our digital platforms.

Required are a 4-year meteorology-based degree (preferred) and a reel of on-air weather casts. Experience with The Weather Company tools, Adobe Premiere, ENPS, and Canon XA50 cameras is a plus.

Job Summary/Description:

This position, in addition to live weather casts, will require covering local news, including, but not limited to, city and county government, court cases, spot news, and any other news of the day, and possibly shooting some sports.

This position will require presenting live weather casts at 6 pm & 11 pm on Saturdays & Sundays. As an MMJ, you will shoot your own video, write stories, and edit as a one-man/woman band. Also, posting to our website and other social media platforms. If you have an eye for seeing and shooting great video and have a knack for finding stories, you'll love this job.
