Job summary

Synergis is seeking a Meteorologist/Video Producer/Content Creator to bring weather to life on a national platform from Atlanta. This hybrid role blends forecast expertise with engaging on-air presentation, real-time graphics, and compelling storytelling.

You will deliver accurate forecasts, craft graphics with WSI TruVu Max, and appear across live and taped segments. Requires weather degree, on-camera polish, and ability to work under pressure, weekends included.

Meteorologist/Video Producer/Content Creator (Weather-focused)

LOCATION: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid; Onsite Tues-Thurs, Remote Mon and Fri, 10am-6pm)

ANTICIPATED DURATION: 6 months with potential for extension (W2 with benefits)

Required Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology, Atmospheric Science, or equivalent work experience
• Proven experience presenting live and taped weather forecasts, preferably using WSI TruVu Max systems
• Strong proficiency in creating weather graphics and operating broadcast meteorology equipment
• Excellent on-camera presence with clear articulation, enunciation, and pronunciation
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience covering severe weather in all seasons
• Local reporting experience
• Familiarity with interactive weather technology
• Collaborative skills for working effectively within interdisciplinary teams

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Meteorology or Atmospheric Science degree preferred
• Prior experience with national broadcast teams and multi-market forecast creation

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends, and respond to urgent weather needs
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Candidates should submit a resume along with samples of their on-air work and weather graphics

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $47 to $50 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
