Job summary

The Chemico Group is seeking a qualified analyst to perform routine sampling and analytical testing of metalworking fluids and machining systems, documenting results and supporting practical process improvements on site. You will monitor key fluid parameters, identify trends, troubleshoot issues, and communicate recommendations to site personnel, program management and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Chemistry/Biology/Biochemistry.
• Minimum 3–5 years of previous chemical management experience.
• Experience in contract construction, negotiation, and application.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine sampling and analytical testing of metalworking fluids and machining systems according to procedures.
• Monitor and document parameters: concentration, pH, conductivity, hardness, and alkalinity.
• Analyze results, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
• Troubleshoot fluid and system issues, including contamination and fluid performance concerns.
• Interact with site personnel and quality teams to support machining system management.
• Develop and maintain testing procedures, sampling plans, and control limits.
• Manage metalworking fluid systems within customer specifications.
• Perform system inspections and assist with fluid maintenance and filtration.
• Identify opportunities to reduce fluid consumption, waste, and costs.
• Maintain analytical records and communicate findings to program management.
