BBVA is seeking a Metals & Mining Head for the Americas, based in New York. The MD will lead strategy, client development, and sector advisory across M&A, debt and equity finance, and ESG offerings for top mining clients.

Ideal candidates have 15–20 years in metals & mining client relationships, investment banking experience, and fluency in English and Spanish. Travel is frequent; base salary is competitive with a discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years building relationships with metals & mining clients.
• Experience in DCM, M&A, structured financing & multilateral financing.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is mandatory.

Responsabilités

• Lead development and execution of metals & mining strategy for the Americas in coordination with global sector head.
• Expand client portfolio by leveraging relationships and onboarding new clients aligned with strategy.
• Advise on market trends, regulatory frameworks, capital structuring, and ESG considerations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams across investment banking, risk, legal, and compliance.
• Represent BBVA at conferences and investor forums to strengthen sector leadership.
