Job summary

Morgantown, PA-based Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) is seeking a Laboratory supervisor to manage the chemistry lab and drive prompt analysis of raw materials. You will partner with manufacturing, purchasing and quality control to develop new analytical techniques.

Essential functions include developing methods for routine analysis, calibrating and maintaining lab instruments, and implementing MOC and MPE. Relocation is authorized for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or combination of education and experience preferred.
• Previous work experience in Special Metals.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Theoretical and practical knowledge in analytical spectrochemical methods for metals.
• Understanding of analytical chemistry and quality systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine methods for routine analysis of raw materials and finished products.
• Calibrate, operate, and maintain all laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Maintain a library of certified and secondary reference materials.
• Implement Management of Change (MOC) and Manufacturing Process Experiments (MPE).
• Supervise and coordinate lab staff to ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Partner with supplier base to develop continuous improvement and cost-reduction opportunities.
