Job summary

The Judge Group seeks an Engineering Technician for Metals Batching Operations in Fountain Inn, SC. This contract-to-hire role operates on the production floor in a cleanroom, supporting operators and Process Engineers to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient production.

You will monitor SOPs, assist with troubleshooting, plan tests, and document data while collaborating with engineering. Prior metals batching or chemical handling experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or metals batching.
• Read and follow SOPs and technical documentation.
• Intermediate Excel and basic MS Office skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and with engineering teams.
• Comfortable collaborating with operators while supporting engineers.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between Manufacturing Operators and Engineering in Metals Batching.
• Work on the production floor in a cleanroom to support daily activities.
• Monitor SOPs, process specs, safety, and quality standards.
• Provide real-time guidance to operators on procedures.
• Identify and elevate manufacturing, process, or safety concerns to Engineering.
• Support troubleshooting and root-cause investigations.
• Plan, document, and execute engineering tests and validations.
• Collect and report process data to leadership.
• Operate production equipment as needed to support objectives.
• Maintain, revise, and update SOPs and process documentation.
