Nucor Steel Kingman is seeking a qualified Metallurgist to join our safety-focused Quality and CI efforts in the rolling and melting operations. The role emphasizes process development, training, data analysis, and root-cause problem solving to improve product quality and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have a BS in Engineering, strong communication and leadership skills, experience with SPC tools, and familiarity with SQL, Power BI and metal production workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• Metallurgical engineering degree preferred.
• Experience with statistical process control and data analysis.
• Strong communication, planning and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety, commercial excellence, and continuous improvement in rolling and melting processes.
• Drive overall quality improvement and support process/product development initiatives.
• Train efforts and apply SPC tools; identify quality trends and root causes.
• Define processes with Roll Mill and Melt Shop to meet customer expectations and safety standards.
