Job summary

Actalent in Lancaster, CA is seeking a permanent Metallurgical Lab Technician to perform lab testing and inspections of aerospace components, prepare samples, and support processing steps.

You will use microscopes, calipers, micrometers and inspection equipment to review heat-treat results and evaluate cross-sections, grain flow and hardness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science or 5+ years of related experience.
• Aerospace metallurgy and laboratory testing experience.
• Experience with microreading, cross-sections, grain flow, and hardness testing.
• Knowledge of heat treating, blueprint reading, and quality inspection.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $95000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
