Job summary

Arconic Corporation in Tennessee Operations seeks a technically skilled quality professional to administer surface quality monitoring systems, troubleshoot issues, and train production staff in quality standards and SQM maps.

The role requires strong problem solving, cross‑functional collaboration, and the ability to work weekends/off shifts as needed to maintain product quality and process integrity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years in a technical/operational support role in manufacturing.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
• Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree.
• 4+ years of related experience is a plus.
• Quality control or technical support experience in rolling/heat treatment is a plus.
• Experience with automotive customers and SAP or similar systems.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Administer Surface Quality Monitoring (SQM) systems per SSM standard.
• Troubleshoot and repair SQM systems with corporate resources and technicians.
• Coach and train production personnel in surface quality requirements and SQM maps.
• Coach and train maintenance in troubleshooting, startup and shutdown procedures.
• Monitor scrap data for trending and process control improvements.
• Maintain quality procedures and documents to meet customer specifications.
• Ensure adherence to standard practices and quality systems; participate in event reviews.
• Assist in root-cause analysis and corrective actions for quality concerns.
• Support cross-functional teamwork to minimize costs and improve quality.
• Promote safety and support Tennessee Operations safety goals.
