SSAB is seeking a seasoned operations leader to drive safety, reliability, and efficiency in a heavy industrial setting. The role involves leading and developing a multidisciplinary team, managing budgets, and coordinating maintenance and capital projects.

Ideal candidates bring at least seven years in operations with three years in a leadership capacity, plus strong analytical skills and a proven track record in continuous improvement and safety.

Formación

• Minimum of seven years of relevant operational, technical, manufacturing, industrial, or related experience, including at least three years of progressive leadership experience.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety and safe work practices.
• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience planning, scheduling, and managing operational activities.
• Experience using operational, quality, productivity, and cost metrics to drive business results.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems.
• Working knowledge of steelmaking processes, equipment, and operations.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with safety policies and drive safety culture and continuous improvement.
• Lead, develop, and manage employees through recruitment, training, performance management, succession planning, and development.
• Establish departmental goals, priorities, and performance expectations to meet objectives.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze performance data, implement corrective actions, and drive improvements.
• Manage budgets and resources to achieve cost and productivity targets.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee maintenance and operational improvement activities.
• Lead capital projects and equipment improvement initiatives.
• Provide oversight of metallurgical processes and refractory practices for safe, reliable operations.
• Manage inventory and supplier relationships for critical consumables.
• Develop staffing plans and schedules to support requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
• Maintain records, reports, budgets, and performance metrics.
