Job summary

Kinross Gold Corporation is seeking a Metallurgical Technician at the Round Mountain mine in Nevada. You will support quality control testing and process improvements for the mill and heap leach facilities, ensure data integrity, and maintain lab equipment safely under supervision of the Met Lab Supervisor.

The role emphasizes hands-on sample preparation, testing, and reporting, with opportunities to train others and contribute to KPI achievement in a dynamic mining environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in assay or metallurgical lab preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform site safety tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain lab equipment safely for testing in mill and heap leach facilities.
• Perform sample preparation and testing for met accounting and process improvement projects.
• Complete test logs and daily inspection forms accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in metallurgical studies and routine tests (Bottle Roll, Column Leach, Flotation, etc.).
• Follow supervisor instructions; train others as needed and perform additional duties.
