Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in a laboratory, technical or quality function.
• Experience with laboratory equipment and data analysis; good GMP/Lab practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate CMM to provide precision measurements for testing.
• Maintain and update records of testing results and calibrations.
• Assist in preparing internal/external quality audits of Met Lab.
• Follow SOPs, ensure compliance with accreditation and customer standards.
• Review product certifications for accuracy and completeness.
• Work overtime as required.

About the Role :

The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate testing and provide measurement results in accordance with all internal and external standards, specifications and practices supporting manufacturing operations. This role shall be responsible for maintaining spreadsheets and records related to production testing. Additional responsibilities include reviewing, writing, and maintaining laboratory practices that meet or exceed industry standards, quality system requirements and the customers' specifications and needs.

Qualifications : (Required & Preferred)

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (R); AAS or 2 years of college course work, specifically in Engineering, Materials Science or Metallurgy (P)

Experience: 3 years’ experience in a laboratory, technical or quality function (R)

Role Responsibilities :

• Use proper PPE, foster a positive safety culture, and identify opportunities to improve JSAs, CPDs, and LOTO procedures. Maintain good housekeeping practices, remain aware of others' actions, and actively promote coworker safety.
• Effectively participate in the preparation of all internal and external quality audits of the Met Lab and other areas as directed.
• Operate CMM to provide precision specimen geometry measurements for testing.
• Conduct studies and lead activities for improvement of current processes.
• Participate in and coordinate PTP and IRR testing.
• Perform, docment and ensure PM and calibrations are current and compliant to documented procedures.
• Follow SOPs and specifications, understand process requirements, and recommend improvements. Maintain SOPs and QCIs to ensure compliance with accreditation and customer standards.
• Conduct method audits, as directed, in compliance to SOPs.
• Proficiently use the testing/certification system: test generation, reults entry, sample tracking and etc.
• Track and report on testing activities as assigned.
• Assist others and be willing to receive additional training and accept change.
• Act as a Temporary Supervisor, as needed.
• Coordinate activities to meet priorities.
• Identify and track down missing samples.
• Notify maintenance or your supervisor immediately when equipment fails, and follow up until repairs are complete.
• Review product certifications for accuracy.
• Plan activities to complete assignments as quickly as possible or to meet an established timeframe.
• Work overtime (daily, weekend and holiday) as required.
