Job summary

The Kensington Mine internship offers a 12-week summer opportunity with Coeur Alaska’s Metallurgical Team in Juneau, AK. You’ll be mentored by industry professionals and own projects with real impact, culminating in a company-wide presentation and an expenses-paid trip to Chicago.

Ideal candidates are undergraduates entering their junior or senior year pursuing Chemical, Metallurgical, or Mineral Process Engineering, with GPA 2.5+ and US work authorization without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a related internship discipline.
• Minimum GPA 2.5, preferred GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Leadership potential, interpersonal skills and strong communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Stop work for safety concerns and follow safety policies.
• Metallurgical testing to support optimization projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
