Job summary

Coeur Mining, Inc. seeks a motivated summer intern for the Metallurgical Team at the Kensington Mine near Juneau, Alaska. The position offers hands-on, real-world experience with mentorship, project ownership, and a 12-week duration from May to August 2027.

You’ll work on safety-driven tasks, metallurgical testing, and group presentations while exploring potential future opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• Undergrad entering Junior or Senior year.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in related field to internship discipline desired.
• Potential areas of focus: Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Mineral Process Engineering.
• Minimum GPA 2.5, preferred GPA 3.0 or higher.
• Must be legally authorized to work full-time in the country of hire without requiring sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Candidates that are eager to demonstrate leadership potential, strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work individually and within a team.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn!

Responsibilities

• Stop work for safety concerns, and abide by safety best practices, policies and procedures.
• Metallurgical testing to support optimization projects
• Perform other duties as assigned
