Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC is seeking a hands-on Metallurgical Engineer focused on improving large alloy castings for aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. The role combines lab and shop-floor work to enhance alloy performance, casting processes, and product quality.

You will analyze microstructures, support heating treating and finishing operations, and collaborate across operations, quality, and customers to deliver solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in metallurgical engineering or related field.
• Strong metallurgy and materials science knowledge.
• Ability to engage with customers on technical matters.

Responsibilities

• Improve alloy performance and casting processes from lab or shop floor.
• Support melting, casting, heat treatment and finishing operations.
• Analyze metallurgical data, microstructures and mechanical properties.
• Lead root cause analysis to troubleshoot quality and production issues.
• Prepare technical reports and customer documentation.
