Ellwood National Steel is seeking a Metullurgical/Materials Science professional to support the primary melting operation from scrap selection through shipment. You will investigate root causes of material issues, participate in alloy development, and guide training for staff while overseeing trials and testing activities.
Requirements include a BS in Metallurgical or Materials Science or equivalent experience, plus steelmaking experience when possible.
ENS operates a fully integrated steelmaking process, including a scrap yard, electric arc furnace, ladle furnace, vacuum tank degasser, vacuum oxygen decarburization unit, teeming bay, annealing furnaces, and shipping operations. You'll play a key role in driving improvements across this complex and dynamic operation.
