T1 Energy Inc. is seeking a Cell Metallization Process Engineer to join the G2 solar cell fab in Rockdale, Texas.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of process engineering experience in solar cell manufacturing with hands-on metallization.
• Hands-on experience with screen printing, firing, and paste chemistry.
• Knowledge of TOPCon or related cell architectures (PERC, HJT, IBC) is preferred.
• Familiarity with in-line metrology tools for print quality inspection, contact resistance, and IV characterization.
• Experience with DOE methodology, SPC, and statistical data analysis for process optimization.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Python, JMP, or Excel.
• Strong documentation skills and experience writing SOPs, process specs, and engineering reports.

Responsibilities

• Own SPC for metallization at G2, including process excursions affecting Voc, Isc, FF, and EL/PL.
• Maintain documentation on screen printing process parameters and initiate DOEs across Process and Equipment teams.
• Oversee ramp-up of screen printing module and testing/sorting module for efficiency grading.
• Develop front and rear metallization processes focusing on furnace profiles, ohmic contact, and paste rheology.
• Collaborate with thermal diffusion and deposition teams to optimize interfacial process parameters.
• Drive DOE execution across paste formulation, mesh/emulsion, squeegee dynamics, and firing profiles.
• Qualify new paste materials and screen suppliers; evaluate next-generation metallization solutions.
• Partner with equipment engineering to troubleshoot yield losses and print defects.
• Support technology transfer and scale-up as G2 ramps to full production capacity.
• Collaborate with T1 technology teams to optimize metallization interactions with other plants.
