Job summary

Ramar Steel is hiring a Miscellaneous Metal Installer for our Southern Tier, NY projects with travel to nearby areas as needed. The role requires 3–5 years of field experience installing metal stairs, railings, guardrails and decking on commercial/industrial sites.

The ideal candidate will have OSHA 10 certification, be capable of reading shop drawings, and work well with a small crew (1–3). Welding experience is preferred and safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in miscellaneous metals installation or related field

Responsibilities

• Install metal stairs, metal railings, guardrails and metal decking
• Assist in the installation of steel components and structural framework
• Install small structural items such as beams and columns
• Perform core drilling operations
• Operate grinding equipment safely and efficiently
• Welding (preferred)
• Read and interpret shop drawings and installation plans
• Work collaboratively with a small team (1–3 crew members)
• Support and coordinate with the Foreman to ensure efficient project completion
• Maintain OSHA safety standards and company safety protocols
