Job summary

Trillium Staffing is hiring a full-time Grinder Hand / General Laborer for a metal shop in Fenton. The role involves grinding parts, sandblasting, and general shop support, with potential torch work or CNC spinning lathe duties as needed.

Work hours are first shift, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Starting pay is $18 per hour, with weekly pay through the agency, plus benefits after probation and future contract-to-hire potential. Candidates with metal shop experience and tool knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• General labor or metal shop experience preferred.
• Knowledge of hand tools and measuring instruments a plus.
• High school diploma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grind and finish metal parts using hand tools and surface finishing equipment.
• Sandblast components as required.
• Read and follow work orders and basic measurements.
• Assist with torch work or CNC spinning lathe operation when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Stand for 8-hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.
