Thisdirect hirerole is pivotal in leading all aspects of the metal fabrication department, which includes infrastructure, personnel management, and workflow efficiency. As the Metal Shop Foreman, you will utilize effective planning, organization, and supervision to drive departmental success. This position requires strong personal initiative and the ability to identify and resolve production issues independently. Responsibilities

• Use the work order system to track the progress of work, document resource usage, maintain schedules, and oversee department shifts.

• Coordinate after-hours facility access and ensure accurate scheduling with Gantt charts.

• Lead department R&D, focusing on new technologies, machinery, material testing, and prototyping.

• Be involved in short and long-term space planning and anticipate necessary tools and equipment for metal fabrication projects.

• Identify training needs and resources, assess staff performance, and address issues promptly. Ensure adherence to time and attendance procedures and manage timecards.

• Set and monitor production goals, participate in project hand-offs and liaise between design and metal fabrication.

• Review submittal and production drawings to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience in structural metal fabrication or similar trade.

• 3+ years’ experience as a supervisor in a certified facility.

• Ability to schedule and delegate work.

• CWB GMAW, FCAW Certification is a plus.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Ability to consult and advise Project Designers on fabrication methods.

Pay

$57K Per Year

Schedule

Day Shift | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Monday - Friday
