Randstad USA in Patchogue, NY is seeking a versatile Shipping/Receiving and Fabrication Support team member. You will wrap, crate, palletize metal products, load/unload trucks with a forklift, and assist fabrication with basic shop tasks, plus occasional local box truck deliveries.

The role requires a practical background in shipping/receiving (2+ years preferred), a valid driver’s license with a clean record, forklift experience, and ability to read tape measures. No degree is required.

A fast-paced metal fabrication shop looking for a versatile team player. Your main focus will be shipping and receiving, but you will also jump in to help our fabrication team and occasionally drive our box truck for local deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Shipping/Receiving (Primary): Wrap, crate, and palletize metal products. Load and unload trucks using a forklift. Handle packing slips, BOLs, and incoming inventory.
• Fabrication Support: Prep metal parts (grinding, deburring, sanding), operate basic shop tools (saws, drill presses), and maintain a clean shop floor.
• Local Driving (Occasional): Safely drive our non-CDL box truck for local deliveries to vendors or job sites. Properly strap and secure freight.
• Experience: Background in shipping/receiving (manufacturing or metal shop experience is a big plus).
• Skills: Forklift experience, basic metal shop tool knowledge, and the ability to accurately read a tape measure.
• Driving: Valid driver's license with a clean record. Box truck experience preferred.
• Physical: Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to

Responsibilities

Receiving & Inventory Control: Inspect incoming deliveries of steel, hardware, and shop supplies for damage or discrepancies against purchase orders; shelve raw stock in appropriate storage racks.

Blueprint & Cut Sheet Execution: Read and interpret shop drawings, cut sheets, weld symbols, and work orders to fabricate metal components to exact tolerances.

Safe Vehicle Operation: Drive a 16-to-26-foot non-CDL (or Class B/C) box truck safely along local delivery routes to deliver finished goods to job sites, commercial customers, and subcontractors
