Job summary

IMS, a leading metal distributor, seeks a Machine Saw Operator to safely move raw materials and operate forklifts, side loaders, and saw cutting equipment. You will learn plate, band, and shear saws while maintaining accuracy with calipers and micrometers in a fast-paced production setting.

The role supports inventory control, material handling, and quality checks, with opportunities to grow within a comprehensive benefits program and a team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic math and mechanical skills required.
• Experience with micrometers and calipers.
• 1+ years forklift operation.
• 1+ years saw machine or industrial machinery experience.
• 1+ year in warehouse, production, distribution or manufacturing.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Metal cutting/distribution experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Pull orders from inventory and stage finished product for distribution.
• Move materials with forklifts and side loaders between cells.
• Inspect cut material for accuracy using measuring devices.
• Maintain organized stock and inventory locations.
