Job summary

Verathon Inc is seeking a qualified metals tester to perform tests for green-sand molding, core-making, and no-bake molding processes, and to interpret results accurately.

You will conduct chemical analysis of metal samples with an optical emission spectrometer, maintain organized records, audit molding and pouring, and perform any special testing as required by supervision. A minimum of 3 years in metal and sand analysis and a two-year technical certificate or degree are required.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in metal and sand analysis.
• Two-year technical certificate or degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform tests for green-sand molding, core-making, and no-bake molding processes and correctly interpret results.
• Perform chemical analysis of metal samples using an optical emission spectrometer.
• Maintain organized records for sand system data and metal analysis data.
• Audit molding and pouring processes and finished castings.
• Perform any special testing or analysis as needed.
• Perform other tasks as required by supervision.
