Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a shop worker in Brookhaven, MS to operate metal roofing component machinery in a fast-paced environment. The role requires reading a tape measure, basic math, and a strong safety mindset.

You will cross-train on all machines and follow precise instructions to meet customer orders. Typical shift is 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with the potential to grow into forklift responsibilities and daily shop cleaning.

Qualifications

High School graduate or GED.
3+ years fabrication/manufacturing experience preferred.
Able to maintain a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
Must have a high attention to detail to consistently produce quality product.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.

Responsibilities

Must understand the workflow of the metal roofing and related components manufacturing process to meet customer satisfaction.
Demonstrate willingness to be cross trained on all machines and follow directions to produce orders correctly.
Setup machinery with little assistance, read a tape measure and use basic math/computer skills.
Maintain safety regulations and work safely at all times.
Operate machines to produce correct items for orders while standing for extended periods.
Will be trained to use forklift to transport heavy metal coils.
Participate daily in shop cleaning responsibilities.
