Job summary

Kids for the Future in Charlotte, NC is seeking a skilled Metal Refinisher to restore surfaces using buffing, sanding, stripping, masking, painting and finishing techniques. You will work from work orders and follow Foreman directions to ensure high-quality results.

The role involves handling solvents and power tools, adhering to OSHA protocols, and occasional travel. Night shifts are common (4/5pm–2/3am) with potential weekend work.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license with insurable record.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Comfortable with heights and confined spaces.
• Able to kneel, squat, bend and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Experience with spraying and oxidizing materials.

Responsibilities

• Follow work order instructions and Foreman directions to ensure quality and timely completion.
• Work with solvents, chemicals, and power tools.
• Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and use company vehicles when required.
• Complete required safety training modules.
• Occasional travel out of town in company van with per diem and hotel.
• Maintain cleanliness and attention to detail on surfaces.
