Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a General Laborer to support our Erie operations. The role involves sorting non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, and brass, and assisting with general labor tasks on site.

You will operate a 30lb cut-off saw and baler, maintain a clean workspace, and perform duties with a safety-oriented mindset. The position is outdoors/indoors and requires the ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Aptitude for understanding and using machines and tools.
• Superb Customer Service.
• Experience in metal recycling considered an asset.
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good physical fitness.
• Ability to consistently lift or move up to 100lbs.
• Must be able to stand, reach, walk stoop and crawl.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Familar with OSHA regulations.
• Excellent attendance and safety record.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, sort and organizing different types of non-ferrous metals of different alloys i.e. aluminum, copper and brass
• Operating a 30lb cut off saw and baler
• Cleaning and shearing of radiators other general labor duties
• Working with a safety-oriented mindset
