Job summary

Thyssenkrupp Materials NA, Inc. is hiring for a Material Handler on the 1st shift in Minnesota. You will process material per work orders, operate heavy equipment, and maintain a clean, safe work area while recording measurements and tagging materials.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and write.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Perform basic math skills.
• Safety-minded approach to work.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes, forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Pull, inspect and verify product before processing according to work orders.
• Set up equipment to run material and follow setup notes.
• Verify products meet setup specifications and record measurements.
• Enter/delete material tags per instructions and maintain clean work area.
• Assist in packaging and labeling of material per work instructions.
• Maintain measurement equipment and use weighing scales for inspections.
• Identify scrap or non-conforming material and communicate with supervision.
• Provide feedback on machine efficiency and product quality; train others when required.
• Support lean and quality initiatives on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.
