Candidates should have experience polishing pressure vessels or sanitary equipment, familiarity with Ra measurement tools, and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a safety-focused shop.

Qualifications

• Prior experience polishing pressure vessels or sanitary industrial processing equipment.
• Knowledge of surface finish measuring tools (e.g., Ra testers).
• Experience with rigging or operating overhead cranes to handle heavy vessel parts.
• High attention to aesthetic and technical detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting production deadlines.
• Strong commitment to shop safety, quality, and precision.

Responsabilités

• Polish, grind, buff, and blend surfaces of mixer components and pressure vessels to specified finish requirements (sanitary, mirror, brushed).
• Blend weld seams, remove scuff marks, and eliminate surface defects using hand-held tools.
• Select and use abrasives, flap wheels, sanding belts, compounds, and polishing wheels for various materials.
• Inspect pieces visually and tactilely to ensure uniform texture and quality.
• Safely maneuver and position around large vessels and equipment.
• Read and interpret shop drawings and finish specifications.
• Maintain polishing equipment and keep work area clean and safe.
• Follow PPE and safety protocols.
