Job summary

UFP Industries in Wilton, New Hampshire seeks an Assembler I responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer’s specifications. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.

As part of the role you will complete work area setup, fit parts to spec, operate hand tools, and maintain a clean, safe, organized work area while following quality standards and recording production information.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
• No minimum experience required; 6 months manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools as required to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products and may cover, label, and band components finished product as required.
• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized and equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection checklist and reports problems or concerns.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products to ensure they are compliant with standards.
• Performs duties consistent with safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
• Participates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
