Aerospace Metals Finisher - Titanium Aerospace Parts Production - Swing Shift, Weekend Day Shift

Primary Purpose

The Finisher I removes imperfections and defects from titanium castings using various grinding tools and techniques.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Operate pneumatic hand grinders to remove imperfections and grind castings into position or dimension.
• Inspect work using appropriate measuring tools to ensure requirements are met.
• Operate belt grinding machines to surface grind and blend welds on castings.
• Measure parts and visually inspect castings for defects, marking appropriately.
• Work with casting fixtures from the dimensional department.
• Ensure paperwork remains with castings before and after processing.
• Maintain a clean and safe workstation.
• Train or assist in training Finisher I personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

• Capable of interpreting dimensional tools such as UT, calipers, dye penetrants, etc.
• Ability to follow written instructions from tech cards, routers, blueprints, etc.
• Requires continuous attention to detail.
• Good attendance record.
• Ability to maintain quality and quantity standards.
• Team player with self-motivation.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions.
• HS diploma or equivalent; relevant experience considered if not met.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Solid job history with over 1 year at previous employer.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations.
• Willing to undergo background checks and drug screening.

Environment

• Work performed under good conditions with some exposure to noise, temperature, machinery.

Schedule

• Swing Shift (Monday-Thursday 4:00pm-2:30am) - $1.00/hr. shift differential
• Weekend Day Shift (Friday-Sunday 5:00am-5:30pm) - $1.25/hr. shift differential
