ARCH Global Precision in Olive Branch, MS seeks an experienced Metal Finishing Specialist for the Day shift. You will clean, deburr, polish, and grind metal, plastic, or rubber parts using grinders, buffing wheels, and related tools, following established procedures.

Responsibilities include mounting parts, handling tools, and applying polishing compounds while inspecting surfaces. A strong attention to detail and the ability to read blueprints are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Equivalent to high school education or related experience or training.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; present information.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; handle problems with a few concrete variables.

Job description

Looking for an experienced Metal Finishing Specialist to work the Day shift.

Cleans, deburrs, polishes, or grinds items of metal, plastic, or rubber by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Scrapes or rubs parts with file, wire brush, or buffing cloth.
  • Holds part against buffing or grinding wheel.
  • Deburrs or polishes parts.
  • Mounts part on revolving spindle or chuck and holds or moves tools such as file, abrasive stone, or cloth against workpiece to file, grind, polish, or buff surface.
  • Cleans interior surfaces of holes.
  • Changes tools on powered equipment.
  • Applies abrasive compound, wax, or other dressing to facilitate cleaning or polishing operation.
