Job summary

Ucsspirit is seeking an experienced welder to join our team in Lincolnton, NC. The role requires hands-on MIG and TIG welding across aluminum and steel, with the ability to operate related fabrication tools. You will maintain weld integrity, keep a clean work area, and support safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to work independently, and committed to quality and safety while meeting production goals.

Qualifications

• Must have MIG and TIG welding experience.
• Experience welding aluminum and steel.
• Ability to operate welding and metal fabrication equipment.
• Follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good eye for detail and inspection.
• Able to work independently and adhere to safety procedures.
• Ambitious, energetic and quality conscious.
• Able to lift and adjust items under 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintains welds on various items using MIG, TIG and other processes to ensure safety and functionality.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Essential Functions (Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following):

• Maintains welds on various items using a variety of processes (manual arc, tungsten inert gas, metallic inert gas, brazing, cement core drilling, sheet metal, steam-fitting etc.) for the purpose of ensuring availability and functioning of required items ensuring safety.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

Skills/Qualifications:

• Must have both mig and tig welding experience
• Experience working with both Aluminum & Steel
• Ability to operate equipment used in welding and metal fabrication including band saws, grinders, break, shear, drill, press, chop saw etc.
• Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Must have good eye for detailed inspection.
• Able to work independently.
• Must adhere to safety procedures.
• Must be ambitious, energetic, and quality conscious.
• Able to regularly lift and adjust items less than 50lbs.

Education:

High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). The incumbent must demonstrate excellent welding skills.
