Job summary

SkylabSHOP is seeking an adaptable metal craftsman to excel in a fast-paced studio setting. You will collaborate with partners and clients on shop fabrication, bespoke finishing, and site assembly to bring unique installations to life.

Key requirements include 5 years of experience, proficiency in MIG and TIG welding, experience with stainless steel and aluminum, and the ability to read drawings and finish cosmetically. Competitive hourly rate offered in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in metal fabrication.
• Ability to read architectural drawings, shop drawings and utilize this information in production.
• Outstanding abilities in layout and fixturing.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking.
• Proficiency in GMAW and GTAW.
• Experience with stainless steel and aluminum.
• Ability to grind and finish for cosmetic detail.
• Professional and reliable.
• Experience with computer software including Microsoft Suite.
• Valid Drivers licences.
• Able to lift 75 lbs.
• Opportunities to grow professionally.
• Work in a dynamic environment on enduring custom projects.
