Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Reading and writing in English to read work orders, safety and policies.
• Measuring skills with English and metric systems and measurement tools.
• Mechanical aptitude and arithmetic to calculate decimals and fractions.
• Experience operating an overhead crane or forklift.
• Proficient with hand tools including grinders.
• Demonstrated manual dexterity and coordination.
• Computer literacy; familiarity with Microsoft products.
• Organized with strong attention to detail.
• Must pass drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Position work pieces for processing.
• Operate a combination of machines to cut, burn, saw, grind, bend or press.
• Use gauges, calipers, rulers for measurement.
• Review blueprints and work orders to set tooling and tolerances.
• Install and align punches and fixtures using gauges and templates.
• Adjust controls for speed, depth and feed and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform quality inspections and in-process checks.
• Coordinate material handling, including crane operation.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and housekeeping.
• Assist/train less experienced workers; may lead in absence of supervisor.
• Document work orders and keep records.
• Other related duties as assigned.
