Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a Fabricator to make, repair, adapt and rectify tools, dies and mechanical pieces with precision by reading blueprints and testing. The role involves operating brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses to form and assemble components.

The incumbent will verify conformity to specifications, weld as needed, and maintain a safe, clean work area, following engineering documents and change requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with basic math skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Experience with fabrication equipment and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts prior to assembly.
• Operate fabricating machines to form, cut, or weld components.
• Inspect parts for defects and ensure conformity to specifications.
• Weld components as needed and follow blueprints and layouts.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety procedures.
• Study drawings to determine materials and task sequences.
