Descripción del empleo

Build a career with staying power.

Join a team known for precision metalwork and strong relationships. As a Metal Fabrication Finishing Technician, you’ll contribute to high‑quality parts that move through our shop every evening.

A day in your 2nd‑shift life

You clock in at 3:00 PM, review safety notes, and gear up. You start by prepping steel components—cleaning, flattening, and removing distortions or residue so they’re ready for downstream fabrication. You move materials by overhead crane to the shot blast area, finish edges on a pedestal grinder, then assemble product kits as orders require. Throughout the shift you verify part condition, document any non‑conformances, and keep your area clean and organized. At 11:30 PM, you wrap up after a final quality check and housekeeping sweep.

Compensation & schedule
  • Pay: $15.00–$17.00 per hour (paid weekly)
  • Shift differential: $1.00
  • Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 3:00PM–11:30PM
What you’ll do
  • Safety first: Follow all plant safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Metal finishing: Clean, grind, and finish metal parts using hand tools and pedestal grinders.

  • Shot blasting: Perform shot blasting operations aligned with production specs, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Assembly & kitting: Assemble products or kits as required by work orders.
  • Material movement: Operate an overhead crane to move material within the facility.
  • Inspection & reporting: Examine components for residue, damage, wear, or defects; document and report non‑conforming materials or product damage.
  • Organization: Maintain a clean, orderly workstation throughout the shift.
  • Team alignment: Work under direct supervision and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Quality & accuracy: Deliver error‑free work for internal and external customers; follow established processes supporting safety and quality programs.
