Job summary

Meta Lab Retail is seeking an Assistant Manager to partner with the Store Manager, coach a high-performing retail team, and keep daily operations running smoothly. You’ll support hands-on demos of Meta Smart Glasses and Quest experiences, ensuring a welcoming, organized space and a superior in-store customer journey.

You will help optimize processes, manage operations, and empower the team to deliver engaging, wearable-tech experiences in a premium retail setting at Moynihan Train Hall.

Meta Lab Retail is transforming how people connect with technology in high‑traffic, premium shopping environments. Our team will bring Meta Smart Glasses and Quest mixed‑reality experiences to life through interactive demos and engaging, hands‑on customer moments at Moynihan Train Hall.

As the Assistant Manager, you’ll partner closely with the Store Manager to support and develop a high‑performing retail team while keeping daily operations running smoothly. You’re someone who enjoys solving problems, communicating clearly, and creating a space that feels organized, welcoming, and customer‑ready. In this role, you’ll help coach the team, maintain strong operational flow, and look for opportunities to improve processes and performance. You’ll also play a key part in supporting hands‑on demos that help customers explore our wearable and mixed‑reality products and see how they fit into their lives—bringing the Meta brand to life through an engaging and immersive in‑store experience.

Minimum Pay

USD $75,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Pay

USD $82,000.00/Yr.

What You'll Do

• Manage the overall operation of the location including but not limited to opening, closing, inventory management, logistics, retail technology, Point of Sale, cash handling & weekly and daily report outs on operational performance
• Develop and execute various operational strategies to streamline operational processes within the retail store
• Be the boots on the ground in partnership with Meta’s tech team to ensure all customer experiences are working correctly and maintained
• Support the Retail Manager in performance management of the team
• Lead person when the Store Director is not present
• Expert in our client’s industry leading products, sold in the retail store
• Other tasks as assigned by management

What You'll Bring

Experience and Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• 3+ years of retail management experience required
• 3+ years customer‑facing experience in retail required

Skills and Attributes

• Exemplary interpersonal communication skills including soft, written, verbal and conflict resolution
• Ability to build and foster business relationships at multiple levels and independently
• Ability to show patience, tact and remain calm under pressure
• High level of initiative and self‑motivation with a continued drive to learn
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to practice good judgment in analyzing information, strategic/critical thinking and decision making
• Fluent in Google Workspace Suite & Office 365 including Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint
• Flexible availability with the ability to be on‑call as needed
