Job summary

Corning is seeking a seasoned software engineer to develop and support MES solutions for the optical fiber division in the United States. You will work with engineers to implement systems that connect manufacturing processes and enhance production efficiency.

Responsibilities include leading development, mentoring teammates, and joining capital projects. The role may require after-hours on-call support to ensure MES reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering or equivalent industry experience.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in object-oriented design and development using C#, VB.Net, Java, etc.
• Proficient in programming including C#, VB.Net, SQL, Camstar, Git.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support MES implementation across the optical fiber division.
• Mentor junior developers and foster technical growth.
• Participate in capital projects and provide after-hours on-call support when needed.
