Job summary

Veolia Water Technologies & Solutions (VWTS) is seeking a Junior Manufacturing Software Engineer to develop and maintain software used on the factory floor. The role focuses on upgrading existing applications that control customized fixtures and instruments, integrating paperless workflows, and improving data visualization for quality control.

You will work with VC++, C#, Java, and Python, with exposure to MES environments and production floor troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of programming experience; at least 1 year in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain software applications and databases that support manufacturing in VC++, C#, Java, Python, MySQL, Tableau
• Oversee the day-to-day administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, and ongoing support of the MES system
• Create documentation for software usage, maintenance, and requirements
• Work closely with management, engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to design and develop intuitive custom applications to reduce downtime, maintain regulatory compliance, and improve productivity
• Create and execute advanced SQL queries to produce process metrics, reports, and live dashboards
• Liaison for manufacturing and Corporate IT for project implementation
