Qualifications

• Master’s degree in IT with 2 years related work experience or >=4 years in IT
• Bachelor’s degree in IT with 4 years related work experience or 2 years First Solar IT Experience
• Associate’s degree in IT with 6 years related work experience or 4 years First Solar IT Experience
• Eight years equivalent external work experience or six years First Solar IT experience
• 4+ years in manufacturing systems or software development using .NET technologies
• 6+ months interfacing with manufacturing control systems or PLCs

Responsibilities

• Develop new software systems for First Solar’s manufacturing, reliability, and R&D processes
• Integrate shop floor systems with custom-developed and off-the-shelf solutions
• Provide hyper care and expert-level support on global applications for manufacturing and related systems
• Assist administrators in troubleshooting enterprise-level problems
• Document recurring issues and present possible solutions
• Interface with other departments and supplier representatives
