Job summary

G&W Electric Co is seeking a Manufacturing Execution Software Developer to analyze, design, and develop MES solutions using Ignition, Python, SQL, and C++. You will maintain both frontend and backend systems, deliver robust integrations with ERP/WMS/Salesforce, and lead small to mid-size projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes SDLC adherence, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and providing training and support to end-users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with 2+ years software development experience.
• Ignition programming experience (certificate preferred or working toward certification).
• Python and SQL database development experience.
• Experience with greenfield design, architecting, and implementing SCADA systems and SQL pipelines.
• Experience with multiple languages (C++, Python, Java, Ladder Logic, Structured Text).
• Strong SDLC knowledge and solid team development经验.
• Experience leading small to medium sized projects.
• Knowledge of advanced automation controls systems.
• Familiarity with MQTT & OPC fundamentals and connectivity troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, develop, test, and implement solutions using Ignition MES, Python, SQL and C++.
• Maintain frontend and backend code bases; ensure high-quality UX.
• Provide user training, technical support, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor applications for optimal performance and data integrity.
• Create integrations across ERP, WMS, Salesforce, and other core systems.
• Perform code reviews and maintain best practices in the code base.
• Adhere to SDLC per IT guidelines for changes and deployments.
• Act as a product ambassador and gather user feedback.
• Participate in peer design reviews and coordinate testing with engineers.
