Job summary

Trane Technologies plc is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering MES Intern for on-site work in Grand Rapids, MI. You will collaborate with manufacturing engineers, operators, and quality teams to bridge physical assembly with digital MES, learn processes on the floor, and support system enhancements in a fast-paced HVAC assembly environment.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with Apriso MES, participate in continuous improvement, and contribute to safety, quality, and productivity initiatives while

Qualifications

Pursuing a technical Bachelor’s degree with interest in smart manufacturing.
Experience with MES or production systems is a plus.
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

Sustain and improve daily shop-floor execution using Apriso MES.
Assist with implementing electronic work instructions and new functionality.
Help troubleshoot MES issues to minimize downtime.
Document changes and feedback for MES workflows.
Collaborate with engineers, operators, and quality teams on data-driven improvements.
