Job summary

Nextpower is seeking an IT Manufacturing Systems Architect / MES Integration Lead in Fremont, CA, onsite. The role drives MES strategy, data platforms, and manufacturing analytics to enable global production visibility, traceability, and operational excellence across sites.

Responsibilities include designing architecture, leading vendor engagements, and ensuring cybersecurity and regulatory compliance while advancing automation and data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 10+ years in manufacturing IT, MES, or systems integration.
• Strong knowledge of MES, OEE metrics, and data platforms.
• Experience with data warehouses, ETL/ELT, APIs, SQL.
• Experience integrating MES with ERP/PLM/QMS/WMS/enterprise data platforms.
• Knowledge of ISA-95, equipment hierarchies, genealogy and traceability.
• Proficient in data integration tech and API/event-based patterns.

Responsibilities

• Define manufacturing IT architecture for production, quality, maintenance, traceability, and supply chain.
• Lead MES strategy, implementation, integration, enhancement, and global consolidation.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into scalable tech solutions.
• Establish manufacturing data standards, governance, master data, and integration patterns.
• Design and support manufacturing data warehouse and analytics initiatives.
• Enable end-to-end traceability across materials, processes, equipment, and results.
• Integrate MES with ERP/PLM/QMS/WMS/TMS and enterprise analytics platforms.
• Evaluate factory automation technologies (SCADA, PLCs, robotics, IIoT).
• Develop data integration between shop-floor systems and enterprise apps.
• Drive roadmaps for new facilities and global plant standardization.
• Lead vendor evaluations, design, testing, deployment, and support.
• Ensure cybersecurity, availability, scalability, and regulatory compliance.
