Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Louisville, KY is seeking a MES Engineer to design and enhance manufacturing execution systems, create reports from production data, and collaborate with Process Engineers, Production, IT and Maintenance to improve line performance.

You will develop and debug MES logic, validate IT applications, train technicians, and support key metrics such as OEE, scrap and safety while coordinating IT/MES activities to minimize downtime.

Job description

MES Engineer – Louisville, KY (Direct-Hire)Day Shift PositionPay Rate: Up to $95k annually (based on proven work history)Responsibilities of the MES Engineer:Create reports/dashboards from data stored in various production database. Work with Process Engineers, Production departments, IT and Maintenance to evaluate MES requirements for production line improvements and modifications.Provide production support for MES functions including QAD interfaces, PLC interfaces, Electrical Test interfaces, MES master data maintenance & process modeling, MES functionality (transactions and user interfaces), and Database / reporting functions.Develop, modify or debug MES logic and related IT Applications to enhance equipment interface and operation of the MES. Diagnose and help resolve causes of process and communication malfunctions on all equipment.Author and execute software validation activities with proper oversight to support and maintain the MES. Provide training to technician on the operation and diagnostics of the machine process and applications.Support manufacturing metrics (Safety, Engineering Change, OEE, Scrap, Waste)Configure system settings and options, plans and executes integration acceptance testing with required documentationPerform system configuration changes, monitor systems and correct errors.Additional Responsibilities:Train others on systems, software, equipment and processes.Research and implement cost effective upgrades to the equipment and manufacturing applications.Modify and create SQL queries and stored procedures to create reports and functions.Support web applications and solutions.
