Job summary

UNILIN is seeking a Developer within the IT Manufacturing team to shape the digitalization of our production environments. You will build, maintain and enhance our MES Shopfloor Control across factories to drive manufacturing excellence, efficiency and data-driven operations on the shop floor.

You will collaborate with analysts, product owners and other developers, participating in agile ceremonies and contributing to system integrations with PLC/SCADA/OPC/MQTT while keeping code quality high

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or similar.
• Experience with .NET (C#), Angular and preferably Oracle (PL/SQL).
• Strong understanding of SQL and database concepts.
• Interest in modern software development practices (cloud-native, CI/CD, service-oriented architecture).
• Curious about AI in software development.
• Interest in manufacturing environments and industrial processes.
• Familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset.
• Ownership mindset and delivering high-quality work.
• Assertive and capable of challenging ideas to improve solutions and ways of working.
• Strong communication skills and collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (French is a plus).

Would you like to help shape the digitalization of our production environments and contribute to our advanced MES landscape? As a Developer within the IT Manufacturing team, you will play a key role in building, maintaining and enhancing our MES solutions across our factories. Our custom MES solution, Shopfloor Control, is a cornerstone of our Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing initiatives.
In this role, you work closely with business analysts, product owners and other developers to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that directly support manufacturing excellence, efficiency and data-driven operations on the shop floor.
Your responsibilities

• You develop, maintain and enhance applications using .NET (C#), Angular and Oracle (PL/SQL)
• You translate functional requirements and user stories into robust, scalable and maintainable solution.
• You collaborate closely with business analysts,product owner, architects and other developers throughout the development lifecycle.
• You actively participate in agile ceremonies (2-week sprints, refinements, reviews and demos)
• You contribute to the design and integrations with shopfloor systems (PLC, SCADA, OPC, MQTT, …)
• You ensure high standards in code quality, performance, security and maintainability
• You proactively contribute to the modernization of our software architecture and development practices
• You explore and apply new technologies and AI to improve and accelerate development
• You support testing activities and resolve issues with a focus on root cause analysis

Who are you?

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or similar
• You have experience with .NET (C#), Angular and preferably Oracle (PL/SQL)
• You have a strong understanding of SQL and database concepts
• You are interested in modern software development practices (cloud-native, CI/CD, service-oriented architecture)
• You are curious about and eager to explore AI in software development
