Job summary

Atlas Copco Holding GmbH is seeking a CAD & PLM Solution Engineer to strengthen its Engineering Solutions team. You will support engineering systems, analyze incidents, and drive continuous improvements while collaborating with internal users and external partners.

You will start close to the business, learning how systems and processes operate and gradually taking on more responsibility in projects and application administration, contributing to a robust engineering ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT, Engineering or related field.
  • First experience in IT, engineering, product development or technical support is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with structured documentation.
  • Proactive mindset and drive to continuously improve things.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional English.
  • Experience with CAD, PLM, ITIL, Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile project work is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose incidents and user questions related to CAD/PLM systems.
  • Coordinate with external partners and follow up on requests.
  • Create troubleshooting guides and knowledge articles for end users.
  • Develop training materials for key users across teams.
  • Participate in projects and continuous improvement of engineering applications.

To strengthen our internal expertise, we are looking for someone who wants to grow beyond traditional support roles and become a future expert, project leader or solution owner within our Engineering Solutions portfolio in the IT department.


Our ambition is to strengthen our internal expertise and ownership of our engineering systems to support our global engineering community even better and elevate our collaboration with our external partners to the next level.


As a CAD & PLM Solution Engineer, you will be part of our Engineering Solutions team, supporting business-critical applications within the domain of Engineering.


You will start close to the business, supporting users and learning how our systems, processes and integrations work in practice. From there, you will gradually take on more responsibility in continuous improvement initiatives, projects and application administration.


In this role, you will become the expert behind the solution by analysing incidents, requests and business questions, coordinating and following up with external partners, resolving issues whenever possible, and identifying recurring problems while investigating root causes.


You will also build knowledge and enable others by creating troubleshooting guides and knowledge articles to support end users, and by developing training material to enable key users to train their local teams.


In addition, you will help improve our engineering ecosystem by proposing and implementing continuous improvements, participating in projects and change initiatives, and supporting the continuous improvement of engineering applications. You will also help improve support processes and service quality.
