Job summary

North Point Technology is seeking an experienced MES Controls Engineer to support high-volume discrete manufacturing. This role focuses on MES, PLC integration, real-time production execution, and automation system reliability, collaborating with engineering, operations, and production teams to optimize MES-driven processes.

Key duties include MES-to-PLC integrations, configuring MES-PLC communications, maintaining PLC tags and logic, supporting MES-based quality validation and production

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell and Siemens PLC/HMI platforms.
• Strong PLC programming, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
• Experience supporting manufacturing automation and industrial control systems.

Responsibilities

• Support MES-to-PLC integrations during system launches and ramp-ups.
• Configure, establish, and maintain MES-PLC communications.
• Maintain PLC tags and logic to support MES transactions and reporting.
• Collaborate with Process Engineers and MES teams to optimize processes.
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and network issues impacting MES functionality.
